What is Vinyasa Yoga?
Vinyasa Yoga, often referred to as Vinyasa Flow, stems from the Ashtanga Yoga Lineage. What makes Vinyasa different from other yoga styles, is that the movements connecting the postures are just as important as the postures themselves. We cultivate mindful movement in active asana and during the transitions alike, making it a flowing yoga practice.
At OM Yoga Stuttgart we structure each class slightly different, depending on who the teacher is. We base our sequencing on traditional Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) and on the contemporary practice of Sacred Geometry Vinyasa developed by Benjamin Sears.
What is a Vinyasa class like at OM Yoga Stuttgart?
In any given Vinyasa class at OM Yoga Stuttgart you will practice breathing, improve core strength and upper and lower body muscular tone, stimulate your cardiovascular and respiratory systems to prepare the body for meditation.
The Vinyasa class is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced students alike. All levels of students will find something to improve and experiment with or will simply deepen their practice one breath at a time.
Aside from regular classes we offer Vinyasa Workshops from time to time, so check back often and find out when the next workshop takes place!
