Donation Class for the Humans in Moria

On September 9th a huge fire broke in the refugee camp of Moria, located on the Greek Island of Lesvos. The camp was completely destroyed leaving over 12.000 people – many of which are children – stranded in the streets of the island with nowhere to go.

Many international organisations are currently active on the Island trying to alleviate the suffering of thousands of people who lost everything in the fire, providing them with basic necessities such as food, blankets and hygiene products.

One of them is Yoga & Sport for Refugees, an NGO that has been offering yoga & sports to the asylum seekers community as part of a mental and physical health program. From their vision statement:

“Our organisation wants to empower refugees and migrants through sport, integrate them into the community, and improve their physical and mental health so that they find a way out of monotony, frustration and stagnation of their current situation.
In addition, one of our fundamental objectives is to get refugees from being users of sports activities to trainers in charge of their own projects, so that they can be integrated into the community and gain security and self-confidence“

We love their mission & work and, now more than ever, we feel the need to support the frontline fighters in this massive humanitarian crisis.

Monday’s 17.30 Hot Yoga class entire earning will be donated to Yoga & Sport For Refugees and we invite you to contribute too, with whatever amount you can at the link below.
